Back in 1997 - 1998, I did some work in Kansas City.  It's such a beautiful city, and I had met some wonderful people, so I have been wanting to go visit.  In September, 2000 I finally made the trip!

I drove from Atlanta to St Louis.  Just after crossing into Illinois, I stopped by Metropolis - the home of Superman!

In St. Louis, I stayed at a wonderful, beautiful Bed & Breakfast - Napoleon's Retreat.  The hosts, Jeff and Michael are incredibly nice and hospitable. And the rooms are just gorgeous!  I usually stay in the Burgundy Room:

What would a trip to St. Louis be without seeing the Arch?  Actually, I've passed through the city several times without doing that, but I was on business. Now I took the time to see it:
